Otter Tail County recently received funding to launch a Sprint Paramedic pilot project, designed to bring Advanced Life Support (ALS) capabilities to Basic Life Support (BLS) services in surrounding communities in Otter Tail and Grant Counties. As a Sprint Paramedic, you'll not only deliver ALS care but also provide vital education, community health, and support to BLS teams in our area. This newly created role is perfect for a passionate and skilled paramedic ready to elevate this innovative program to new heights. This is a grant funded position with funding available through June 30th, 2027.

Paramedic Position Details

Perham Health offers management services and staffing for Perham Area EMS, delivering patient care to the communities of Perham, Dent, Richville, and the surrounding rural areas.

Essential responsibilities of the Paramedic include, but are not limited to:

  • Responds promptly and safely to emergency calls, ensuring patient care and scene safety.
  • Assesses, prioritizes, and provides advanced life support to patients.
  • Administers medications, treatments, and interventions as per protocols.
  • Works effectively with other first responders, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals.
  • Clearly documents patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes for accurate medical records and reports.
  • Operates and maintains emergency vehicles and medical equipment.
  • Provides compassionate care and advocates for patient needs during transport.

What You Offer

  • Current certification as a Paramedic with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB).
  • Possess and maintain American Heart Association (AHA) credentials as a BLS Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
